is this video at all representative of what we can expect

I’m not sure what audience Fox Searchlight are aiming for with this Black Swan music video promo or what message they are trying to get across about their film but it has a glimpse at some new scenes the other marketing reels didn’t so I’m posting it.

We already know the movie is intense and strange but where has the heavy rave music come from, and what’s all this about a night club?? I have not yet seen Black Swan but for those who have, is this video at all representative of what we can expect?

Black Swan opens in the U.S. on December 3rd. Watch the trailer to hear new music from the soundtrack featuring The Chemical Brothers and others.

An important question here

Posted on 28th September 2011 in secretariat movie

Double Vincent Gallo All Across The Sky!! Sing it with me!!

Gallo will play a dual role in the upcoming film The Legend Of Kaspar Hauser. He’ll put on his actor hat to portray both the Pusher and the Sheriff. I only have a hard time imagining him in one of those roles.

As the Pusher, he will speak Italian in the Sardinia-set film. And the Sheriff will sound like normal Vincent Gallo. I like to think of it as being like when Steve Urkel turned into the ultra-smooth Stefan Urquelle.

An important question here, is the world ready for two Vincent Galloes? (Galleye??) With two Vincents strutting around, the potential threat posed to Chloe Sevigny’s jaw is astronomical. (Variety)

Tommy Lee Jones

Posted on 27th September 2011 in movie ratings

Jemaine Clement of "Flight of the Concords" fame is slated to play the villain in Men in Black III. Clement joins Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin and director Barry Sonnenfeld, who have all signed on to the project.

While details are scarce, Collider is reporting that Clement will play an evil character named Yaz. Based on Clement’s sideburns, one can only assume that "Yaz" is none other than Boston Red Sox’s great Carl Yastrzemski, aka Mutton-chop Yaz.

On the plus side, it would be hard to make a film any worse than MIB II. Unfortunately, Clement was already involved in the sci-fi related catastrophe, Gentleman Broncos, so anything is possible.

s up with that

Posted on 26th September 2011 in movie listing

News today is that actors are willingly joining Wrath Of The Titans. Good ones too! What’s up with that?

The Bourne Ultimatum‘s Edgar Ramirez and Prince Of Persia‘s Toby Kebbell are in advanced talks to join the unnecessary sequel. Kebbell will play Poseidon’s son, Agenor. Ramirez’s role is unspecified, so let’s just make up a name that sounds mythological. He will play Percertorious. Yeah. I like the sound of that.

Also, considering dressing up in stupid wardrobe for the project is the awesome Bill Nighy, Hayley Atwell, and Clemence Poesy. If they can act with a straight face, they’re shoe-ins. (Deadline and The Wrap)

Coming Soon

Posted on 24th September 2011 in movie ratings

Good news for fans of killer robots from the future. A bunch of production companies you’ve never heard of are developing Terminator 3000, a proposed $70 million, 3D animated feature.

Although plot details are sparse, the film will involve characters from the original Terminator. However, what we do know is that those involved with the production are keeping violence to a minimum in order to avoid an R rating. After all, we wouldn’t want a movie about blood-thirsty cyborgs from a post-apocalyptic hell hole to get too violent. What if someone wants to take their grandma, or maybe their 4-year-old daughter? Terminator was meant for the whole family. (Coming Soon)
